Representatives of VFI,
working with this small community recognized an
opportunity to alleviate the many hours every day that the
women spent
collecting water. The main water supply from the river to
the town of
Kendu Bay runs across the edge of the this
community's property so it
was just a matter of laying the pipe and getting an adequate
storage
tank.Vision Foundation sourced this 1,000 gallon (5,000
litres) water
tank and all the pipings and fittings needed to install a
regular water
supply for this small community.
